Matt "Kepler" Farrow earned his stripes on the dancefloors of Leeds, and it’s a city that continues to leave a lasting impression on his sound. His groovy house beats are heavily influenced by garage sounds which makes them a perfect dance-floor weapon. In the last few years, Kepler released music on established imprints such as Hoarder, Aesthetic, Instinct, and his own Perspective, which brought him well-deserved attention.
It was too difficult to pick 5 all-time favorites, but here’s a handful from my collection that I absolutely love. Not often I share gems I’ve discovered like this but music is there to share! - Kepler
O.H.M. – OCEANIC
”This one was recently repressed and is carried by lush pads and acid lines. Perfect leading up to spring. “
BALLET MECHANIQUE - EMBODY
“One of the most insane arrangements, it keeps giving more and more. Beautiful melodies and harmonies. Full of emotion and soul this one. A real nightmare to mix as it drifts all over the place, but a pure beauty nonetheless.”
SHEETHANGER - FOR YOU ALONE (SPIN CYCLE'S 'HANGIN' IT OUT TO DRY' REMIX)
“Lovely groove on this great Spin Cycle remix. Quality tech-house with a dark after-hours feel.“
IDRIS BENA - GREEN AREA
“An incredible piece of music. Amazing drum programming and an intelligent arrangement that has the track meandering around different synth and bass lines.“
KETTLE - HELLO
“Sadly over-priced on Discogs but a class vibe on this little number. Top-notch samples, nice swung drums and interesting melodies. A proper trip!”
